Teenage boys charged with robbery and burglary after death of Pakefield, Lowestoft, woman Joy Middleditch
Two teenage boys have been charged with robbery after an incident last year where a pensioner died.
Joy Middleditch, 82, was found lying on the floor at her home in Grayson Avenue, Pakefield, shortly after 1.50pm on Saturday, March 25.
She was taken to James Paget Hospital, where she died in the early hours of Monday, March 27.
On March 31, two teenage boys were arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being bailed.
Their bail was extended a total of four times – but last week, they were charged with robbery and burglary with intent to steal.
The pair, who are 15 and 16 and cannot be named for legal reasons, were 14 and 15, respectively, when the incident took place.
The robbery was believed to have happened overnight between March 24 and 25.
They will appear before Norwich Youth Court on June 10.
