Lowestoft Police appeal for snake owner to come forward

Police officers in a Suffolk town have said that they are 'astounded' that the owners of a giant snake found yesterday, have not been in touch with them yet

Appealing for the snake's owner to come forward, Lowestoft Police tweeted: "You'd like to think that if you lost a giant snake you would notice!"

Police officers found the 'really massive' snake in the area of Britten Road, Lowestoft on Tuesday, August 2.

They have confirmed that the snake is healthy and is clearly a domestic pet that had escaped.

The snake, which is believed to be a python, is currently being cared for locally.

If you are the owner of the snake, you can contact Lowestoft Police by quoting CAD SC- 02082022-204.
