Man arrested in Lakenheath on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of offensive weapon in private place
A man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Police were called shortly after 2.15pm yesterday to reports of concern for the safety of a man in Woodcutters Way, Lakenheath.
Officers attended the address and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of making threats to kill and being in possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre to be questioned.
In connection with the incident, officers also had cause to stop a vehicle nearby and arrested the driver of the car, a man in his 50s, on suspicion of being in possession of offensive weapons in a public place.
The man has been bailed to return to police at a later date.
