Blaze at derelict Lakenheath bungalow tackled by three fire crews

A fire broke out at a derelict bungalow in Lakenheath yesterday afternoon.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the blaze at a property in the High Street at approximately 4.44pm on Saturday.

Three fire crews from Brandon, Mildenhall and Newmarket attended the scene, using hose reels and jets to extinguish the blaze, while Suffolk Police temporarily closed the road.

The incident was dealt with just after 6pm.

The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.
