Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service remember firefighter Trevor Bryson who worked at Princes Street, Colchester Road and Ipswich East stations




Tributes have been made to a firefighter, who served the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service for more than 43 years.

Trevor Bryson, who joined the fire service in Suffolk in 1980, died on Wednesday, April 12 aged 67.

During his time as a firefighter Mr Bryson, who lived in Brantham, served at the Ipswich East station, Colchester Road and Princes Street (also in Ipswich).

More recently he has been working within the health, safety and wellbeing team and still worked for the service at the time of his death.

In an online statement Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said they were ‘extremely saddened to announce the passing’ of Mr Bryson.

The tribute continued: “He always went the extra mile to provide the community with the best service possible.

“Trevor was a much-loved friend, workmate, and colleague, inspiring many people across the service, and will be deeply missed by all. Our thoughts remain with his wife and family at this sad time.”

Mr Bryson’s funeral will take place on Thursday, May 18 at Seven Hills Crematorium in Ipswich – starting at 11.15am.
