Ipswich Town reportedly batting with Sunderland and Portsmouth to sign St Johnstone striker Guy Melamed

Ipswich Town are reportedly one of three League One clubs monitoring Guy Melamed's situation at St Johnstone.

The forward joined the Saints in October from Israeli side Maccabi Netanya and he has gone on to score five goals from his 15 appearances.

However, he is out of contract with the Scottish Premiership outfit at the end of the season and is yet to agree to fresh term.

And according to Football Insider, that has alerted Ipswich manager Paul Cook, as well as league rivals Portsmouth and Sunderland.

The soon to be free agent was part of the St Johnstone squad that won the Scottish League Cup final against Livingston last month.
