Cardiff City reportedly interested in signing Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe

Cardiff City are reportedly interested in signing Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe.

The former Manchester United and Aston Villa centre-back has only made six appearances in the Sky Bet Championship for the Blues since his move to Portman Road as a free agent in September.

And Sky Sports have reported that fellow Championship outfit Cardiff City, as well as other second-tier sides, are looking to bring in the 26-year-old before the transfer window closes.

Tuanzebe, who is a former England youth international, netted his first goal for Town in their 3-1 Emirates FA Cup victory at AFC Wimbledon earlier this month and is contracted to the Blues until the end of the season.

Town have an option to extend his stay at Portman Road for a further year.
