Ipswich Town: Jens Cajuste wins Premier League’s Guinness Goal of the Month award for March for curler against Nottingham Forest

Ipswich Town midfielder Jens Cajuste has won the Premier League’s Guinness Goal of the Month award for March.

The Sweden international, on loan from Serie A side Napoli, bagged his first goal for the Blues in their 4-2 defeat against Nottingham Forest on March 15.

After receiving a pass from winger Jack Clarke, Cajuste turned past Ryan Yates and curled a finish into the top corner from just outside the box.

The 25-year-old fought off competition from Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan, Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, Bournemouth’s Marcus Tavernier, Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush, and Forest’s Anthony Elanga.

It’s the first time this season that a Town player has won an individual Premier League award.

The Goal of the Month award is decided by a public vote and a panel of judges.
