Fans ready to watch Ipswich Town Women face Plymouth Argyle Women at Portman Road
Almost 6,000 tickets have been sold for Ipswich Town Women’s return to Portman Road later this month.
The town women, who are battling for promotion in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, will face Plymouth Argyle Women on Sunday, March 23.
This will be the second time the women’s team have played a league match at Portman Road, after they a attracted a crowd of more than 10,000 supporters last year against Chatham Town.
The game against Argyle could have a big impact on town’s promotion hopes this season.
Joe Sheehan’s side are currently sitting second in the league, six points behind Hashtag United - but with three games in hand.
Prices for the match, which kicks off at 2pm, are the same as standard home league games.
