Ipswich Town to face the likes of West Ham United, Millwall and local non-league side Needham Market in pre-season
Ipswich Town have confirmed their pre-season friendly schedule – with Premier League opposition set to visit Portman Road.
It begins on Saturday, June 25 when Kieran McKenna's men will make the short journey down the A14 to face non-league outfit Needham Market – providing supporters with the chance to get a first glimpse of the new signings.
The Marketmen, who ply their trade at Step 3 in the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central Division and reached the quarter-finals of the Buildbase FA Trophy in 2021/22, are managed by former Ipswich midfielder Kevin Horlock.
Top flight outfit West Ham United, who reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last term, will head to Suffolk on Tuesday, July 12.
It could mark a reunion for Hammers left-back Aaron Cresswell, who spent three years with the Tractor Boys before joining the east Londoners in 2014.
AFC Wimbledon – relegated from EFL League One last term – will be Town's hosts on July 16, followed by a trip to Championship side Millwall seven days later.
And Ipswich will finish their warm-up matches for the new campaign with the visit of National League club Southend United on Tuesday, July 26.
