Ipswich Town’s Conor Chaplin and Leif Davis have both been named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season for 2022/23.

Davis, a summer signing from Leeds United, has excelled on the left side of Kieran McKenna’s team, leading the League One assists charts with 12, along with Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannnan, from his 40 appearances. His first career goal came at Oxford in January, and he has since found the back of the net on two more occasions.

The 23-year-old eft wing-back has also been part of a Town defence who recently set a new club record for both games - nine - and minutes - 949 - without conceding a goal.

Meanwhile, McKenna himself missed out on the League One Manager of the Season award to league-leading Plymouth Argyle’s Steven Schumacher.

Midfielder Cameron Humphreys was pipped to the League One Young Player of the Year by Plymouth’s Norwich City loanee Bali Mumba.
