Ipswich Town's loanee from Tottenham Hotspur Troy Parrott makes two Republic of Ireland appearances during international break
Ipswich Town loanee Troy Parrott doubled his collection of international caps to four while on Republic of Ireland duty over the last few days.
The 19-year-old striker, who has scored once for Town since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in January, came off the bench late on during Ireland's 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Luxembourg on Saturday.
And he was a substitute again for last night's 1-1 friendly draw with Qatar in Hungary, though he did get almost 70 minutes under his belt after coming on as a first-half replacement for the injured Robbie Brady.
Parrott will now return to Ipswich and could be involved during Friday's League One home encounter against Bristol Rovers (3pm).
Meanwhile, another Town loanee – defender Mark McGuinness – turned out for the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s in their 2-1 win against their Wales counterparts last Friday.
The Arsenal centre-back played the full 90 minutes at Wrexham's Colliers Park.
