Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert dismisses Kayden Jackson and Jan Nolan to the under-23s

Ipswich Town pair Kayden Jackson and Jan Nolan have reportedly been banished to the club's under-23s by manager Paul Lambert.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times and TWTD, the duo are now training with the squad that is coached by former Town players Kieron Dyer and Terry Butcher.

It is believed striker Jackson infuriated Lambert with the early red card he received against Sunderland last month, for which he received a three-match suspension.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nolan is said to have fallen out with the boss after travelling to Crewe Alexandra on January 30, only to be told he was not part of the matchday squad.

Both players were thought to have been the subject of transfer deadline day interest from other clubs, but Ipswich rebuffed those advances.

Pressure on Lambert intensified last night following the 0-0 home draw with Northampton Town.
