FA Cup fifth round draw: Ipswich Town or Burnley to host League One opposition in Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town in last 16

Ipswich Town would be set to have home advantage against a fellow Sky Bet League One outfit in Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town in the last 16 of the Emirates FA Cup, should they get past Burnley.

The tantalising prospect of Kieran McKenna returning to Manchester United in the fifth round was on the cards with four balls remaining on this evening's draw on BBC's The One Show – before they ultimately ended up being potentially paired against a divisional rival.

The Blues came close to knocking out Vincent Kompany's Sky Bet Championship leaders in their fourth round tie on Saturday, but ultimately could not find the breakthrough in a 0-0 draw, striking the crossbar twice.

But they will get another chance at Turf Moor following Saturday's League One game at East Anglian rivals Cambridge United, with the replay date expected to be confirmed as next Tuesday,

It is the first time the Suffolk club, winners in 1978, have featured in the last 16 draw since 2007.

Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Fleetwood in their tie on Saturday, following on from Darren Moore's side memorably knocking out Newcastle United in the third round.

The winner of that replay will travel to either Portman Road or Turf Moor in the week beginning February 27.

Town are due to host the Owls, who are vying for promotion with them, on February 11, having drawn 2-2 at Hillsborough in September.

Meanwhile, a late stoppage time goal saw Fleetwood deny them a victory in a 1-1 draw in Suffolk on December 2.

The fifth round draw was conducted by former England internationals Jermaine Jenas and Alex Scott with Mark Chapman hosting.
