Ipswich Town's Luke Thomas and Gwion Edwards will be assessed ahead of Hull City encounter

Luke Thomas and Gwion Edwards both face fitness tests ahead of Ipswich Town's trip to Hull City tomorrow evening (7pm).

The duo missed Saturday's 0-0 home draw with Oxford United – a result that leaves Town sitting 12th in the League One table, six points adrift of the play-offs.

And it remains to be seen if either Thomas or Edwards will be available for the clash at the KCOM Stadium.

First-team coach Matt Gill told the club's website: "We've come through the weekend in pretty good shape but we'll have a look at one or two of the lads that played to see how they're doing physically.

"Luke Thomas will be assessed today (Monday) and Gwion should be back in the numbers.

"If you ask the lads if they can play Saturday then Tuesday then I'm sure they'd say yes. They all want to play their part and do well but we can't overdo it."

Meanwhile, Gill added that midfielder Cole Skuse, who has not played all season due to injury, is closing in on a return to action.

"Skusey has been out on the grass for a while and will return to training soon. I think he's joining in for part of the session today which is great news for him and us," he said.
