Armando Dobra completes Chesterfield move after leaving Ipswich Town

Armando Dobra has completed his move to Chesterfield after leaving Ipswich Town by mutual consent.

The 21-year-old's departure from Portman Road was announced yesterday after he made 30 appearances during his time in Suffolk.

He will now reunite with former manager Paul Cook, with the former Town boss playing a factor in Dobra's decision to drop down to the National League.

“I’m buzzing to sign for such a massive club and I can’t wait to get started," he said.

“I just want to enjoy my football. I feel like we can have a good season. I can’t wait to push on and see what this season brings.

“He’s a massive part in me coming here as he helped me a lot in the past.

“I personally think he’s an amazing manager.

“‘Robbo’ [Gary Roberts] also helped me a lot in my time at Ipswich. They’ve both helped me develop a lot.”

Dobra is the second player to join Chesterfield from Town this summer, with former Blues left-back Bailey Clements also making the switch to the National League club.
