Ipswich Town's 'attitude' was a key component in victory over Fleetwood Town
First-team coach Gary Roberts praised Ipswich Town's 'attitude' during Saturday's 2-1 victory over Fleetwood Town.
When Callum Morton cancelled out Conor Chaplin's fifth goal in seven appearances late on at Portman Road, it looked as though the Tractor Boys were going to have to settle for a share of the spoils.
However, deep into stoppage time Bersant Celina popped up to secure the hosts all three points.
Roberts told the club's website: "We showed great attitude today. We kept going until the end, and we fought for it. We've had some games that haven't gone how we wanted to at home, but this one did and we deserved it.
"It was a very cagey first half. It was our third game in a week which might have explained why we looked a touch leggy. The gaffer got into them at half-time and the lads responded.
"Next week is a long and tough trip, so we'll enjoy this win and then prepare right for Plymouth."
Meanwhile, match-winner Celina dedicated the victory to the supporters.
He added: "It was a great moment. The most important thing was that we got the three points, so I'm very happy.
"When I came on I found the game a bit difficult. They were chasing the equaliser and got it, but we stayed calm and knew we would get a good chance - thankfully I took it.
"This is a special stadium to score at, and obviously it's a little while since I had last scored here. A fan ran on and I gave him a hug!
"That's back to back wins now and I think that's important. It gives us momentum ahead of a tough away game next week, and it shows we are capable of winning game after game.
"The crowd always sing my name and I really appreciate that. I'm so pleased to give something back to them. That one is certainly for them."
