Woman reportedly raped in Ipswich near Stoke Bridge after being taken into some bushes by two men




A woman was reportedly raped in a Suffolk town after being taken into some bushes by two men.

The incident happened between midnight and 1.30am on Friday, September 29, near to a towpath close to the skate park at Stoke Bridge in Ipswich in the town centre.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, reported being taken into some bushes close to the towpath by two men, where she was then raped before the offenders then left.

A police scene is currently in place and the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

Officers are conducting patrols in the area and anyone with any concerns are encouraged to speak with them.

Detectives are progressing a number of lines of enquiry to identify the suspect/s, and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has CCTV footage in the area, or noted any other suspicious activity around the time of the offence.
