Vote for your favourite Suffolk picnic spot on National Picnic Week
It is National Picnic Week and, although the weather has taken a turn for the worse, we wanted to take a look at all the best places to enjoy a lunch in the sunny countryside.
We asked our readers to tell us their favourite places in Suffolk to roll out their picnic blankets and unpack their sausage rolls, and they didn't disappoint.
Having reviewed all the entries, we now bring you the 10 shortlisted picnic spots which were put forward as the very best Suffolk has to offer.
Although some preferred to keep their cards close to their chest and wanted to keep their favourite places secret so as not to attract more people to them, there were others who flagged areas all over the county as beautiful spots to relax with family and friends.
West Stow Country Park came out on top after four people listed it among their favourites, closely followed by Southwold beachfront.
Readers also showed their love for Rendlesham Forest, near Woodbridge, Clare Country Park, The Severals in Newmarket and the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds.
Some were a little less specific and named Knetishall, Lavenham, Aldeburgh and Halesworth as great places to unpack a picnic.
