Two men in Ipswich released on bail following arrest for firearms offences

Two men in Ipswich have been arrested for firearms offences.

Police were called to an address on Wherstead Road at 5.30pm on Saturday following reports that a man was in possession of a gun.

Both men, 48 and 29, were arrested for possession of a firearm with intent to cause harm.

They were both taken to Martlesham Police station for questioning.

A police spokesperson confirmed no one was hurt in the incident.

They added that both men have since been released on bail until October 7.
