Framlingham family fund-raise to give 39-year-old Cheryl a special send-off as her daughter pays tribute to 'beautiful soul' who collapsed and died suddenly last month
A grieving family is fund-raising to help cover funeral costs after a mum-of-four after she suddenly died last month.
Cheryl Duffy-Scaife, 39, had been out walking her dog with one of her daughters in Framlingham when she collapsed and stopped breathing on April 20.
Passers by rushed to help and comfort daughter Jo, 18, and administered CPR until the emergency services arrived, but Mrs Duffy-Scaife died two days later surrounded by her family after undergoing heart surgery at Cambridge Papworth Hospital.
Her daughter Charlie, has since paid tribute to the 'beautiful soul' her family has lost, recalling how those who knew her she 'made everyone laugh' and was loved by all who knew her.
"All my friends called her mum", said Charlie, 21.
"She worked full time despite having four children at home and always put us first. She always looked out for everyone and she put everyone before herself - always. Even in death she saved three lives, including that of a child, by being organ donor.
"We are dearly lost without this beautiful soul in our lives. Me and my siblings have all lost an amazing mum and the best parent anyone could ask for. She was a beautiful wife, a loving daughter and a incredible sister.
"Mum was only 39 years of age and she was the most beautiful and funny person. As mum was so young she didn't have life insurance so our family are now having to deal with financial issues as well as grieving the loss of our mum."
The Just Giving page set up in her memory, which can be found by searching the website for Charlie Duffy and scrolling down to Crowdfunders, has raised almost £3,000 and has a target of £5,000.
Cheryl was just one month away from reaching her tenth wedding anniversary with husband Chris, and leaves behind her two daughters and two sons - Ewan, 16, and Christopher, 8.
"We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped, as it really meant a lot.
"We are also extremely touched by how much love and support the Just Giving page has received and how generous everyone has been.
"I think it just shows how much impact mum had on everyone, and we were incredibly lucky to have her in our lives."
