Hays Travel set to move to former site of GAME store in Tavern Street, Ipswich

A travel agency is set to relocate to a vacant unit which was previously home to a game shop.

Hays Travel will be moving from its current location in Tavern Street, Ipswich, to the former GAME store site on the same street.

Penn Commercial, which handled the letting, announced today that 19 Tavern Street will be the agency’s new home for the next 10 years.

The retail space on the ground floor has stood empty since GAME moved to Sports Direct, in Carr Street.

Rachael Jackson, of Penn Commercial, said: "Congratulations to the Hays Travel team.

“We wish them all the best settling into their new offices, which are located on a prominent crossroads along the main town centre thoroughfare.”

Extensive renovations have been under way at the town centre property.

Offices on the upper floors will be converted into flats.

The moving date for Hays Travel has not been announced.
