Traffic on A14 eastbound between junction 53, Whitehouse, and junction 54, Sproughton, near Ipswich, stopped after multi-vehicle crash




Traffic on the A14 was stopped following a multi-vehicle crash.

In a post on X, National Highways said there was a crash on the eastbound carriageway between junction 53, Whitehouse, and junction 54, Sproughton, near Ipswich.

The crash was causing delays of around 30 minutes, with queues stretching for three miles.

Police were called after 7.10am to the collision involving up to four cars.

No injuries were reported.

At 8.18am, National Highways said lane two had reopened and lane one remained closed for ongoing vehicle recovery.

There is about five miles of tailbacks on approach, causing delays of 45 minutes.
