Five Guys plans to open in Ipswich Cardinal Park, in former Dough&Co

The location for Suffolk’s second Five Guys may have been revealed through planning documents.

Proposals submitted to Ipswich Borough Council this week seek to turn the former Dough&Co in Cardinal Park – next to Nando’s – into the American fast food eatery.

One set of plans hope to install signage and logos on the front of the building, while another seeks to change the shopfront with the company’s branding.

SuffolkNews previously reported that the fast food chain was planning to open in Ipswich by the end of the year.

Last month, Five Guys began recruiting for roles at its Cardinal Park location.

The firm’s second UK drive-through – and its first eatery in the county – opened at the Fiveways Roundabout on the A11 near Mildenhall earlier this month.

However, an opening date for the Ipswich eatery has yet to be confirmed.
