Teenage woman dies in Barham crash, near Ipswich, in Thornhill Road, and another suffers serious injuries




A teenage woman has died and another has suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Barham.

Police were alerted at 12.37am today to reports that a vehicle had been involved in a collision in Thornhill Road in the village, near Ipswich.

The fire service and ambulance crews attended but the passenger, a teenage woman, died at the scene.

The driver, a teenage woman, was taken to Ipswich Hospital with serious injuries. These are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and a collision investigation took place, but it has now reopened.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision.

There are also asking anyone else who was driving in the area just before the incident and who has a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for anything that may be of assistance.
