Ipswich makes top 50 worst places to live in England, according to ILiveHere
A Suffolk town has been voted as one of the worst places to live in England.
Over 100,000 people voted in a poll by satire tongue-in-cheek website ILiveHere, which ranked Ipswich as among the worst towns or cities in the country.
It barely scraped the top 50, taking the 49th spot, with 48th being Hull, and last place being Northampton.
Ipswich performed better this year than it did in 2022, when it came in at number 26.
Other towns from the East of England that made the list include Jaywick, which came 46th, Stevenage, which came 42nd, and Peterborough and Luton, which took second and first place, respectively.
The website cited 'pathetic gangs' and chavs in the town as a major factor in why it made the list.
In total, 105,598 people voted for their worst town or city in England.
