Royal Hospital School in Ipswich named as finalist for Independent School of the Year and will feature in Tatler School's Guide




The Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, near Ipswich, is now in the finals to become Independent School of the Year.

Fighting off competition from over 200 entries, the school was short-listed for the award back in July.

It will now go head-to-head with five other schools at an awards ceremony on October 11.

In addition to this award, it will also feature in the 2023 edition of Tatler School's Guide. which aims to list the best public and preparatory schools in the UK.

Simon Lockyer, Headmaster at Royal Hospital School, said the school was honoured to have been shortlisted for both.

He added: “We aim for our pupils to realise their full potential, enjoy their experience of learning and be empowered with the knowledge, skills, confidence and strength of character to go on to lead purposeful and happy lives.

"It is a real honour that our inspiring and well-rounded education has been recognised by these two prestigious publications.”
