Star Wars actors Ross Sambridge and Chris Bunn to appear at Geek Retreat Ipswich Mini-Con

Two actors who appeared in the hugely-popular Star Wars films will be among the guests to appear at a convention taking place in Suffolk.

Ross Sambridge, best known as Andy Serkis' body double when he played the role of Supreme Leader Snoke, and Chris Bunn, the original Stormtrooper, are set to appear at Geek Retreat Ipswich's Mini-Con this weekend.

On Sunday from 10.30am to 3pm, fans of a galaxy far, far away can meet and greet the pair of actors as part of a day crammed with events.

This would be the third Mini-Con the shop has held since it opened in 2021.

It will be held in partnership with Synergy Cosplay.

At least 20 cosplayers, including Ipswich-based RedLedgerCreative, will also be in attendance.

In addition, there will be 14 stalls brought by small businesses, which would all share a 'geeky theme', the organisers said.

Attendees are encouraged to cosplay at the event.

Those that do, will receive 10 per cent off food and drink, the organisers added.

Entrance is free, although the team will be collecting donations for Autism Anglia.
