Severe delays and traffic at standstill on A14 outside Claydon, near Ipswich, after crash involving lorry and a car

There are severe delays on part of the A14 with traffic at a standstill after a crash involving a lorry and a car.
Police were called just before 7.50am today to reports of the collision on the major route westbound just after the Claydon turn off, near Ipswich.
A Suffolk Police spokesperson said one lane is blocked.
An ambulance has attended the incident as a precaution to assess injuries.
Recovery is at the scene.
There are long queues stretching from Sproughton all the way past Claydon.
