See aftermath of blaze at Otley Primary School which saw firefighters from Woodbridge, Ipswich, Framlingham and Elmswell attend
New images show the aftermath of a blaze at a school in a Suffolk village.
Yesterday, firefighters were called to Otley Primary School, in Chapel Street, following reports that a fire had started in a toilet block.
An engine from Woodbridge was first to attend followed by another seven crews – five from Ipswich, one from Framlingham and another from Elmswell.
One then went inside the building to battle the blaze, which was located in the roof of a toilet block while another entered the loft to help out after the fire spread to the roof.
There were no reported injuries and a spokesperson for the fire service said that it was unlikely that any children were in the building when the fire started.
A fire investigation is ongoing.
The incident was brought under control by 5.55pm although engines remained at the scene for hours.
