Ipswich Town Football Club announces Achilleus Security as sponsor of Sir Bobby Robson Stand

A security firm has been unveiled as the latest sponsor at Portman Road.

Waltham Abbey-based Achilleus Security is the new sponsor for the Sir Bobby Robson Stand.

The firm provides security for Premier League clubs, concerts and festivals, and will also become an elite partner with the club.

Its branding will debut when The Blues take on Tottenham this afternoon.

Mario Garcia, managing director of Achilleus Security, said his love for the Tractor Boys goes back to his childhood, cheering on legends such as John Wark, Mick Mills, Terry Butcher and Russell Osman.

He added: “It was Ipswich Town that gave me my love for the game and, from those original foundations, football has become a part of our business and a major part of my family's life.”

Andy Wooldridge, Town’s commercial director, said: “This long-term partnership represents another significant commercial step for the Club.

“It was of great importance that the next sponsor of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand was the right fit for the Club and we feel Achilleus Security are a great addition to our growing number of partners.”
