Bramford Road reopens as Ipswich project to create link road to Europa Way nears completion
Traffic is able to flow freely again as work to build a new link road on the outskirts of Ipswich nears completion.
Suffolk Highways revealed on Monday that Bramford Road has reopened, with a mini roundabout and traffic island installed.
A spokesman for Suffolk Highways said the team had to overcome many challenges to bring the project to this stage.
In addition, it is expected Europa Way will reopen next week.
The project aims to increase connectivity between Bramford Road and Sproughton Road by connecting the former with Europa Way via mini roundabout.
There will also be a new footpath and cycleway.
Work on the scheme began in September and was originally scheduled to finish in April.
Suffolk Highways said it would confirm an opening date for Europa Way in due course.
