Suffolk's most dangerous neighbourhoods revealed including Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds according to January 2025 police crime figures
Thousands of crimes are reported to police in Suffolk each month, including anti-social behaviour, burglary and violent offences.
Figures collated by SuffolkNews reveal some of the most dangerous areas in the county, based on the number of crimes reported in the latest month which has data available – January.
Below you can search for your street to find out if Suffolk Police has logged any crimes in your neighbourhood, and we also reveal how many crimes have been reported in some of the county's biggest towns.
In January, there were 1,186 crimes reported in Ipswich, with the ward of Alexandra totalling the most crimes in the town with 203 crimes, 77 of which were violence and sexual offences.
Alexandra was followed by Westgate and St. Margaret's with 151 reported crimes, Whitton and Castle Hill on 116, with Stoke Park and Sprites on 109.
Bury St Edmunds saw a total of 404 crimes recorded - 173 of them in the north of the town, 114 in the south of the town, 94 in the rural north and 23 in the rural south.
Police data shows in January, there were also 189 crimes reported in Haverhill and 139 reported in Sudbury.
In Newmarket, there were 135 crimes reported, with 55 reported in Mildenhall, 82 in Stowmarket, and 92 in Felixstowe.
