Firefighters battling blaze at Valencia Waste Management in Great Blakenham, near Ipswich

Residents are urged to keep their windows and doors shut as firefighters battle a blaze at a waste management site near Ipswich.

Crews were called to Valencia Waste Management, Great Blakenham, at 5.36pm.

In total, two fire engines, plus a UNIMOG and water carrier from Newmarket are at the scene.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze broke out at an articulated dump truck at the site.

The service has urged those living in the area to keep their windows and doors shut.
