Remaining overnight closures on A14 Orwell Bridge, outside Ipswich, cancelled
Planned overnight closures on the Orwell Bridge have been cancelled due to work being completed earlier than expected.
National Highways has said the A14 outside Ipswich will no longer shut tonight and tomorrow for maintenance and survey work.
The route was shut between 8pm and 6am Monday and yesterday, with a single lane closure either side between junctions 57 and 56 planned for the remaining two nights.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Great news. We no longer need to close the Orwell bridge tonight or tomorrow for surveys, as we managed to do everything during the planned road closures earlier this week.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we did those surveys.”
