Ipswich police officers arrest wanted delivery rider Mohammed Fashi – but complete his burger orders




Police officers ensured customers’ fast food orders reached their doors after arresting a delivery rider in Ipswich.

Officers were patrolling the town yesterday when they came across a man who was wanted with a warrant, in Cardinal Park.

The suspect was working as a delivery driver and had two burgers to deliver.

After the man was arrested the officers were given a ‘crash course’ on how to use the delivery app and completed the orders while taking the man into custody.

Mohammed Fashi, 21, was wanted for for failing to appear at court in connection with an incident of affray.

He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre at 6.51pm.

Fashi appeared before Ipswich Crown Court yesterday and has been granted bail.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge of affray at an earlier hearing.

Fashi’s trial is due to begin some time between March 31 and April 11.
