Pair of men, including one from Ipswich, charged with spate of phone thefts and set to appear in court
A pair of men – including one from Suffolk - have been charged in connection with a spate of phone thefts across Breckland, west Norfolk and north Norfolk.
Police in North Walsham arrested the pair, one in his 20s and one in his 30s, on suspicion of theft just after 1pm on Tuesday – they were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Gabriel Stanescu, 21, of Ranelagh Road, in Ipswich, has been charged with eight counts of theft.
Florin Petrache, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged with 10 counts of theft.
The charges relate to thefts in Fakenham, Dereham, Watton, Dersingham, Holt and Cromer.
Both have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court today.
