Motorcyclist taken to hospital after serious collision on A14 at Claydon that shut major route




A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a serious collision on the A14 that shut the major route for two hours.

Police were alerted to the crash involving a motorbike on the westbound carriageway at junction 52 outside Claydon, near Ipswich, at 4.50pm.

The force said the incident caused serious delays and advised motorists to avoid the area.

A motorcyclist was injured at about 4.50pm and taken to hospital.

The road was reopened just before 7pm.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses or from motorists who have dash cam footage of the incident or of a van pulling a trailer at about 4.30pm.
