Ipswich attempted robbery victim left distressed and fearful after being spat on

Two men spat on another man and demanded money from him in an Ipswich street on Friday.

The incident was at 12.30pm on the junction of Pownall Road and Fore Hamlet.

The victim refused to hand over any money and was not harmed, although he was left distressed and fearful.

Police have described both men as being white and in their early 20s and of medium build.

The first had a short black beard and short dark hair and was wearing a white T-shirt.

The second had a short dark beard, was wearing a white T-shirt, a black hoodie and dark trousers.

Both men also reportedly spoke with foreign accents.
