Man further arrested following Ford Focus crash in Foxhall Road, Ipswich




A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of excess drugs after a car crashed into a bungalow in Ipswich.

Police were called to Foxhall Road, at 12.12am, yesterday, to reports a white Ford Focus had gone into the wall of a property, near to the roundabout junction with the A1189.

Following the incident a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taken to hospital for treatment.

He was then taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, where he was further arrested on suspicion of driving while under influence of excess drugs.

The 33-year-old has been bailed to return to police on March 7, 2025.

The Ford Focus was removed from the scene at around 6.49pm yesterday, as was a cordon that was also in place.

Police are asking for any witnesses or anybody with any information to get in touch with them.

Residents in the area with CCTV or a doorbell camera, or anybody driving with a dash-cam, are being asked to review footage to see if there is anything relevant.
