Man arrested in connection with Brantham, near Ipswich, murder of Anita Rose released on bail




A man arrested in connection with the murder of Anita Rose has been released on bail.

SuffolkNews reported yesterday that detectives were given an extension by a court to question a man in his 20s from Brantham, who was arrested on Wednesday.

He was the third person arrested in relation to the murder of the 57-year-old mum of six in Brantham.

Anita was found injured and unconscious on a track road near Rectory Lane by a member of the public at 6:25am on July 24, having left her house in Palfrey Heights at 5am to walk her dog.

Officers were called to the scene by the East of England Ambulance Service shortly after 8am.

She suffered injuries to her head and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where she died on Sunday.

The man was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre after his arrest.

He is due to answer bail on October 24.

As part of these conditions, he is not to enter Brantham or Manningtree.

Inquiries into the murder continue.
