Man suffers three broken ribs after St Stephen's Lane attack in Ipswich




A man has been left with three broken ribs after a gang attack in Ipswich.

The 30 year old was riding a bike in St Stephen's Lane, close to the Buttermarket junction, at around 10pm on Wednesday when he was set upon by a group of four to six men.

He was assaulted by the men, who started punching and kicking him following a short argument.

The group then ran away down the Buttermarket in the direction of Queen Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with broken ribs and bruises.

Police believe there were several witnesses to the attack and ask anyone with information to call 101 quoting crime reference 37/30519/21.
