Flat fire in Orchid Close, Ipswich, sees man left in care of paramedics

A male has been checked up by paramedics after a flat fire in Ipswich during the early hours.
Firefighters were called to a property in Orchid Close at 2.08am today.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze took hold in a third-story flat.
Only one casualty was reported – a male, who got himself out of the building.
He was left in the care of the ambulance service.
In total, three engines attended the scene.
The incident was dealt with by 2.52am.
The spokesman added that an investigation was due to take place today.
