A12 lane closed at Copdock near Ipswich due to broken down lorry

A lane is closed and there are long delays on the A12 due to a broken down lorry.

Officers were called to the incident at 5.23am in the carriageway heading towards Ipswich, outside Copdock.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said the lorry became stuck in shingle after breaking down.

According to the AA traffic map, there are long delays in the area with queues backing up to East Bergholt.

Recovery is now at the scene.
