A12 outside Ipswich clear after vehicle broke down during rush hour

A major route is now clear after a car broke down during rush hour, causing heavy delays.

Police were called to the A12 between Capel St Mary and Ipswich at 8.56am.

The AA route planner said queueing here is normal, but there were reports of a broken-down vehicle within the queue.

A Suffolk police spokesperson added that a rolling roadblock was in place.
