Five arrests made after police carry out drug raids in Ipswich, Woodbridge and Essex




Five people have been arrested in connection with drug dealing offences after police carried out a series of raids in Suffolk and Essex.

Police searched seven properties - one in Essex, five in Ipswich and one in Melton, near Woodbridge , - yesterday.

Four men, aged 27, 31 and two aged 29, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and money laundering.

They were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where they currently remain.

A 29-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was later released under investigation.

A Range Rover, an Audi and a Mercedes were all seized during the raids as well as around £65,000 in cash, Class A drugs and a large amount of cannabis.
