Ipswich's Eastern Gateway industrial park could see five more units by the end of the year
Planning permission for five industrial units which could create hundreds of jobs has been granted at the Eastern Gateway industrial park in Ipswich.
Set to be built by Bromsgrove-based Trebor Development, which submitted the proposals back in March, they will range from anywhere between 10,000 square foot to 55,000 sq ft.
Construction is set to begin in October this year and they could be ready for tenants by 2023.
Construction could create as many as 350 jobs, and Ipswich Borough Council will be carrying out further improvements in the area.
The firm said they will be built on a speculative basis.
Once complete, they will then be leased out to other companies.

This includes new estate roads and access, cycleways, and public footpath links to the park and warehouses.
The council originally bought the site back in 2014 in order to attract development in the area.
Greg Dalton, Development Director for Trebor said: “Ipswich is a key industrial and logistics hub in the east of England.
"We’ve worked closely with Babergh District Council and Ipswich Borough Council to reach this key milestone, and we look forward to investing in much needed new industrial product for this area."
