Fire crews battle bedroom fire in Spring Road, Ipswich, believed to be caused by ‘electrical appliance’




Firefighters have battled a blaze in a bedroom which is believed to have been caused by an ‘electrical appliance’.

Crews were called at 10.18am to a bedroom fire in Spring Road, Ipswich, after a person living in the house was woken up by a smoke alarm and called the fire service.

The resident safely left the property.

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue spokesperson said quick actions from the crews prevented the fire spreading to the roof.

Appliances from Ipswich East and Princes Street attended the incident.
