DPL Group to move into old RNLI building at Ransomes Industrial Estate in Ipswich

An Ipswich electrical engineering firm is set to move into a lifeboat charity’s old base.

DPL Group, based at Greenwich Business Park, off Landseer Road, will take over 34 Bluestem Road, at Ransomes Industrial Estate.

The unit previously housed the Royal National Lifeboat Institution before it tasked Penn Commercial with selling the property last year.

The property firm was then tasked with finding a tenant, with DPL signing a 10 year lease.

Vanessa Penn, managing director of Penn Commercial, described the unit as prominent, of a good size, with a secure yard, open plan offices and a workshop.

She added: “We are pleased to have let this statement property to DPL Group Limited.

“We wish the team every success in their new headquarters."
