A 20-year-old drug dealer has been jailed for 10 months after police found more than 100 pouches ofcannabis and more than £4,500 in cash at his home.
Klajdi Sula, of Ipswich, admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis and possession of the proceeds of crime at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on August 6.
Officers apprehended him on April 6 after he failed to stop when he was cycling in the Gatacre Road area of the town.
Sula failed a subsequent drugs search.
Police searched the property he was living in at the time and discovered 120 pouches of cannabis and the £4,540 in cash, after which Sula was charged and remanded in custody.
His offending stretched from March 7 to his April 6 arrest.
Sula was sentenced to 10 months for both of his offences, which the court ruled would be served concurrently.
It also ordered the cash seized should be forfeited and paid into a fund held by Suffolk Police to assist in combatting further drug crime.
Sentinel South investigator Rob Ostler said: “Our team works hard to keep residents safe and we are pleased that Sula has been jailed for drug dealing and is now out of action.”
